Conduct Various Training and Workshops for Staff

The Society had well utilised the Social Welfare Development Fund to support internal and external training for staff. A total of 107 internal training programmes were organised for staff of different grades during the year, with topics covering various theories and skills of professional intervention. We have received very encouraging feedback from participants, with an average rating of 4.92 out of a 6-point scale and an objective achievement rating of 93.84%, demonstrating the successful realisation of our training objectives and the high quality of the training programmes. The Society organised a series of training to meet the emergent challenges of service development, such as “Community Engagement in Practice”, “Handling Family Conflicts over Elder Care” and a workshop on “Case Conceptualisation and Intervention with Systemic Framework - Facilitating Change for Youth and Family”.

Organise Staff Orientation Programmes

Staff orientation programmes were organised on a regular basis, enhancing new colleagues’ understanding of the Society’s history, mission, vision, systems and services, and fostering their sense of belonging to the Society. Three different service-specific induction courses were organised for newly-recruited social workers to cultivate their understanding of the “family-centric” perspective and equip them with knowledge and skills in service delivery. Training programmes were also organised for management staff to enhance their leadership skills.
